Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your booking, purchase and participation in classes, workshops, retreats and bespoke orders offered by Motions of Clay .

By booking, purchasing or attending any class, workshop, retreat or placing an order you agree to these Terms.

  • Bookings & Payment

  • All bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking to confirm your place.

  • Payment methods accepted: Bank transfer, first pay or pay pal.

  • We cannot confirm or hold your place until full payment is received.

  • Refunds, Transfers & Rescheduling

  •  We operate a no-refund policy.

  • If you cannot attend a booked session, contact us as soon as possible. We will try to reschedule you to the next available class but this is   subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

  • Cancellation by us

  • We reserve the right to cancel or change the date, time or location of any class or course where necessary or if it is impractical to run.

  • We may also make reasonable amendments to course content without prior notice.

  • If we cancel your session and cannot offer a suitable alternative within a reasonable period, you will receive a full refund for the cancelled session.

  • Bespoke & Personalised Orders

  • Bespoke/personalised pieces are non-returnable unless they arrive damaged or defective.

  • Production and delivery times for bespoke orders will be confirmed at time of order.

  • Any design changes after production has begun may incur additional fees.

  • Returns & Damaged Goods

  • We do not accept returns for, bespoke or personalised items unless defective or damaged in transit.

  • If goods arrive damaged, notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and order details so we can assess and, if applicable, offer repair, replacement or refund.

  • Health, Safety & Allergies

  • It is your responsibility to inform us prior to classes of any medical conditions, allergies, mobility issues, pregnancy or other special requirements.

  • By attending classes you accept the inherent risks associated with pottery and ceramic processes. Follow instructor guidance and safety instructions at all times.

  • Communications

  • By providing contact details you consent to receive transactional messages about bookings and orders. 

  • Motions of Clay is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data transparently and securely.

  • Q: How do I book? : Choose a class, pay in full at booking via the listed payment methods; your place is confirmed once payment is received.

  • Q: Can I get a refund if I can’t attend? : We don’t offer refunds. Contact us early and we will try to move you to the next available class (not guaranteed).

  • Q: What if you cancel a class? : We’ll offer an alternative date. If none is suitable, you’ll receive a full refund.

  • Q: Can I return a bespoke or personalised piece? : No, bespoke/personalised items are non-returnable unless they arrive damaged or defective. Report damages within 48 hours with photos.

  • Q: What if I have allergies or special needs? : Please tell us before attending so we can do our best to accommodate you safely.

  • Q: How is my data used?: We use your details to process bookings/orders and communicate about sessions.
